Curriculum and Campus Facilities

The school follows the CBSE syllabus and classes from Pre-Nursery to IX and XI (in all Stream).
This is an English medium day school that admits both boys and girls.
Morning assemblies, field trips and excursions are part of learning at Sir Chhotu Ram Sr. Sec. School.
The focus is on academics, but various co-curricular activities are also performed for overall development of the student.
Literary activities, personality development, work education and value education are part of the curriculum.
The school follows a continuous assessment methodology; students are graded via tests, projects, artwork, and several presentations. Learning is made fun and interesting.
As with most CBSE school, SCRSS too follows a three language formula. Students learn English, Hindi and Sanskrit at the school.
The school also focus on scholastic areas as life skills and values.
Teachers are well trained and help in overall development of each student.
The school has spacious and ventilated classrooms. All the classrooms have large bulletin boards to stick up trivia and other interesting facts.
The library is well stock with encyclopedias, periodicals, SCRS and journals that can be used by both students and teachers.
A state-of-art computer lab is present on the campus. All computers have P4 configuration.
The science lab, art room and music room are well equipped to enhance the knowledge of students.
Abacus and Vedic math classes to enhance the learning capability of students.
A big playground on the campus allows students to rejuvenate themselves.
Children are introduced to age-appropriate sports and are trained under experienced physical education teachers.

 

Library

In addition to containing books to meet the demand of the students and the faculty, the school library has a good stock of electronics knowledge material including CD/DVD ROMs, Audio Video cassettes, tapes, films etc. The library is equipped with textbooks, reference books and story books.
Transportation
The school has its own fleet of Air Conditioned buses. Each bus has a driver, conductor who is provided with mobile phone for the easy access of the parents along with complete safety and security of the children.

 

Medical

The school has in-house doctor facility to look after the medical needs of the students. In addition to this, the school organizes health checkups at regular intervals to safeguard health of all the students
